Includes information regarding a series of speakouts hosted by the Metropolitan Human Relations Commission (MHRC). The speakouts were part of the MHRC's VISION initiative and were designed to provide information for the development of a list of priority human and civil rights needs. Includes a letter from Portland Public Schools (PPS) American Indian Resource Specialist Chris R. Landon regarding the educational needs and goals of the Native American community; as well as a report on community speakouts and recommendations on priority issues for the fiscal year of 1989-1990.
