Notes are possibly form a Red Squad agent / informant. A telegram to Earl Browder in behalf of the 225 delegates at the Northwest District convention of the communist Party at Seattle, Washington, Morris Rapport, district organizer, pledged a membership of 5, 000 by January 1st. Portland section of the communist party boasted that it had a membership of 240. Thirty of this number were reportedly longshoremen now active in the I.L.W.U.
