One letter sent from A. R. Bishop Organizer C.F.A.U. to J. W. Connell, Sheriff telling him that the officers of Washington county acted in violation of the United States constitution when they forced pickets to stand aside while their jobs were replaced by scabs. This letter was a reply to a letter from Sheriff Connell who was justifying his decision to call the militia against the strikers. Connell's letter is also included in the file. A letters sent form A. R. Bishop to Harry L. Hopkins, Federal Relief Administrator demanding that striking lumber workers be given relief by the F.R.A. A letter sent from S. Raynor, Secretary C.F.A..U. to the Marine Federation Delegates, showing that C.F.A.U. supports the formation of a Marine Federation.
