The apparatus, hose and entire Fire Fighting equipment for the Lewis and Clark Exposition was furnished by A.G. Long. At the time of the expo Chief Dowell was the Captain of Truck 1, he was made a Battalion Chief of District 1 for the Lewis and Clark Exposition and was the Chief of the Lewis and Clark Expo Fire Department. Once the expo was over he then went back to the rank of Captain of Truck Company 1 in November 1905.
