1907 was the first year the Rose Parade was held. Two years after the Lewis and Clark Exposition, Portland started what we know today as the Rose Festival. In the early years it was called the Rose Fiesta as well as the Rose Carnival and the Rose City Festival. The first parade in 1907 was called the Rose Carnival.
