Series is used to document and issue permits that are structural in nature or that encroach into the public right of way. Records include copies of permit application or ordinance approving permit. Applications include permit type, location, and other notes concerning permit or inspector's comments. Examples include structures above and below ground, vaults, sewer connections, right-of-way construction, utility poles, utility uses, railway uses, retaining walls, stairways, bus shelters, etc. All encroachment permits are microfilmed except for utility permits.
