An ordinance granting to the City Messenger & Delivery Company, a corporation, its successors and assigns, the right, franchise and privilege to erect poles and string wires thereon, to construct underground conduits and to lay wires in underground conduits and to stretch wires along, over, upon and across the streets, avenues and public places of the City of Portland, Oregon, for the transmission of electric current to be used solely and exclusively in connection with a messenger system and service and a call box system and to establish, maintain and operate a messenger system and service and system of call boxes and fixing the compenseation to be therefor.
