Letter reads "Removed to 5 and 7 Front Street, corner Vine. Hawley Dodd & Co. - Importers and dealers in hardware, iron, steel, and agricultural implements. Sole agents for the buckeye mower and reaper, and Haines' header, sweepstakes and vibrator threshers and the Mitchell Farm Wagon. ____________Road Supervisor, ____________County" Further down --- "Dear Sir: Enclosed we hand you a "blank" which we will deem a special favor if you will fill out the names and Post Office address of the prominent Farmers and Grain Raisers residing on your road or vicinity. Your kind compliance by an early mail will greatly oblige us. And your fee,--if any,--for labor will be paid by returning bill with "Blank" in your enclosed envelope. Truly yours, Hawley Dodd & Co."
