No New Order for our Schools, an article by R. Worth Shumaker, Assistant National Americanism Director, The American Legion. Shumaker informs the reader that the public school system is the first line of defense and that schools should stress education for democracy, patriotism and national defense. Shumaker does not support the "frontier Thinkers" model of teaching. Shumaker states that this model of teaching attempts to build a new social order of a collectivist type which strongly suggest that of Soviet Russia.
