An article regarding the city councils decision to bar Communists from advertising in the city. The Communist wanted to advertise an event at Viking park where William Z. Foster and Earl Broweder were planning to speak. Commissioner Ormond R. Bean was perfectly willing for the communists to talk but he felt they could do their advertising in other ways than by a car through the city streets. Also includes a letter to the editor, John Frey from La Vena Dimmick, Secretary, Hawthorne General Local, Oregon Workers' Alliance. Dimmick states that Worker's alliance does not have any communist members.
