Dear ____________,
The City of Portland's River Renaissance program publishes an annual report highlighting progress the City is making on revitalizing its environmental and economic relationships with the Willamette River.
In last year’s report, we began to expand our focus by acknowledging the great work being done by other Willamette communities up and down the River. (see the 2006-07 State of the River Report, pages 55 - 60).
We're hoping you might be able to provide a brief (1-3 paragraph) description of what your community has been doing river-wise to reconnect people with the Willamette.
This might range from putting in a new bike path, to improving tributary culverts, to green street programs, to new greenspace or parkland acquisitions, to establishing riverside urban renewal areas, to stormwater or sewer improvement projects.
If we received info by September 26, that would be great! And any information is welcome:
- the name or email of someone from your community who might be better to contact about this;
- a website that already has this information;
- a list of bullets or report fragments from which we could pull together a paragraph or two;
- some jpeg’s illustrating your work or just your stretch of river;
- a phone call (we take dictation).
Thanks for your consideration and best wishes for your continued Willamette successes!
Dear Willamette River Partner*,
The City of Portland's River Renaissance program maintains a Willamette-focused website and publishes an annual report highlighting progress the City is making on revitalizing its environmental and economic relationships with the River.

If we received info from you by September 19, we'd like to include it in our annual State of the River Report.
Any information from you is welcome:

Thanks for your consideration and best wishes for your continued Willamette successes.
