Cycle Oregon is Sept 6-13 this year. They haven't set their route yet but it might end up going along the Willamette [didn’t turn out—they’re headed for Wallowa Lake]

JUBITZ FAMILY FOUNDATION GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES

($800K in 2007; normal range 5-10K)

MISSION:

To enhance the communities in which we live by strengthening families, by respecting the natural environment, and by fostering peace.

AREAS OF INTEREST:

• Early childhood development and youth education, with an emphasis on children at-risk.
• Environmental stewardship, with an emphasis on rivers and their watershed ecosystems.
• Peacemaking activities, with an emphasis on teaching peace and conflict resolution.

Grantseekers who are first time applicants or those who have not been funded in the past must contact the Foundation’s Executive Director three months prior to the grant deadline in order to schedule a site visit. Grants will not be considered without a prior site visit.

Grant Deadlines: The first week of April and the first week of October

Established in 2002, the Joe's Foundation works to improve the lives of youth in the areas where Joe's stores are located by providing financial support to qualified charitable organizations and community-based programs. Organizations who have received grants in the past include Special Olympics and the Children's Cancer Association. Grants have funded school athletic field lighting, team uniforms, scouting activities and much more.
