RE:  Prospective Petition for Nonpartisan Nominating Petition – Additional Signatures Submitted

Dear Mr. Scott:

On February 28th, Joseph Meyer filed for candidacy for nonpartisan nomination for City Office (Commissioner, Position No. 3) by prospective nominating petition. This prospective petition was assigned petition ID PDX 10.

On March 4th, Mr. Meyer submitted 119 signatures on thirteen Petition for Nonpartisan Nominating Signature Sheets on SEL 121 forms approved by the City Auditor’s Office, of which 92 signatures were found to be valid. After being informed that his petition did not have the required 100 valid signatures, he then submitted three additional signature sheets on March 6, 2014. Upon completion of the circulator verification and review of the petition by this office, no sheets were rejected.

Signature sheets submitted to Multnomah County Elections:  3 (numbered 14-16)

Total number of submitted signatures:        20

Required number of signatures for a City nominating petition:  8 (of 100)

Circulation period for petition          3/5/2014– 3/6/2014

I have conducted a review of circulator certification, and hereby certify that the signature sheets for prospective petition ID PDX 10 have met all the requirements in accordance with OAR 165-014-0270.

Please direct any invoice for signature verification to my attention.

Sincerely,

Deborah Scroggin

City Elections Officer
