RE:  City of Portland Petition ID PDX 09

Prospective Petition for Nonpartisan Nominating Petition

Brian S. Parrott, Commissioner, Position No. 4

Dear Mr. Scott:

On October 17, 2011, Brian S. Parrott filed for candidacy for nonpartisan nomination for City Office (Commissioner, Position No. 4) by prospective nominating petition. This prospective petition has been assigned petition ID PDX 09.

On February 29th, 2012, Mr. Parrott submitted thirteen Petition for Nonpartisan Nominating Signature Sheets on SEL 121 forms approved by the City Auditor’s Office. Of the 105 signatures submitted on February 29th, 83 were found to be valid by Multnomah County Elections. After being informed that his petition did not have the required 100 valid signatures, he then submitted 19 signatures on three additional signature sheets on March 1, 2012. Upon completion of circulator verification by this office, no sheets were rejected.

Signature sheets submitted to Multnomah County Elections:    3 (numbered 1 to 3)

Total number of submitted signatures:          19

Required number of signatures for a City nominating petition:    17 (of 100)

Circulation period for petition            10/17/2011 – 03/01/2012

I have conducted a review of circulator certification, and hereby certify that the signature sheets for prospective petition ID PDX 09 have met all the requirements in accordance with OAR 165-014-0270.

Please direct any invoice for signature verification to my attention.

Sincerely,

Ryan Kinsella

City Elections Officer
