Cascade Campus PCC Meeting Notes

Exhibit Location

 

◻  Exhibits will be set up in the cafeteria. Registration/welcoming booth will be located outside the cafeteria doors in the student center hall.

◻  Hot dog truck will be located in the pedestrian walkway outside the student center.

 

Class Location

 

◻  Dee provided a list of classroom reserved for the November 20th fair.

 

◻  Skillet meals will be located in the cafeteria area and needs access to the kitchen.

 

Marketing

 

◻  PCC has signage available to announce the Fair and to give fair goers directions to the welcome/registration table.

◻  PCC is invited to have a host table at the Fair.

◻  Brochures will be distributes to the local elementary schools in bundles of 30. Possible fair representation at the neighborhood association meeting.

◻  Portland Energy Office (PEO) will solicit Metro Home Safety Repair based on the brochure provided by Dee.

◻  Dee will place text regarding the Fair in the student paper “ The Bridge.”

 

◻  PEO will send Dee copy of press release and Oregonian article.

 

◻  Head Start will be given brochures and posters for marketing the Fairs.

 

Next Step for PCC

 

◻  Dee will make initial contact with Head Start regarding child care during the Fair

 

◻  PCC needs to give PEO the count of flyers (for newsletters), brochures and posters PCC would like to distribute.

 

◻  Dee will make initial contact with both the kitchen staff and the janitors regarding the using of the kitchen and janitorial services the Saturday of the Fair.

 

◻  David and Dee will brainstorm and give PEO a list of possible exhibitors you would like us to invite to display at both Fix-It Fairs.

 

◻  PCC will give PEO any feedback regarding marketing avenues to pursue.
