ORDINANCE NO. 182492

* Amend subrecipient contract with 211Info by an additional $8,000 for outreach to homeless adults and provide for payment (Ordinance; amend Contract No. 38227)

The City of Portland ordains:

SECTION 1. The Council finds that:

1.  Funding to provide outreach, permanent housing placement and home-based retention services to homeless adults meets the goals and objectives of the Bureau of Housing and Community Development (BHCD).

2.  The 211Info has successfully provided housing information and referral to homeless adults.

3.  BHCD is amending subrecipient contract no. 38227 with 211Info to provide additional information and referral services during the winter season to homeless.

4.  The established increase is $8,000 for a total compensation not to exceed $181,874 to continue to provide 211Info.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:

a.  The Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with 211Info in a form substantially in accordance with the agreement attached as hereto Exhibit A (attached to the original ordinance only).

b.  The Mayor and City Auditor are hereby authorized to pay for said contract from the Bureau of Housing and Community Development General Fund.

Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because delay in funding would interrupt 211Info’s ability to provide information and referral; therefore, this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by Council.
