ORDINANCE NO. 181534
* Amend subrecipient contract with Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare by adding $79,173 to provide training, placement and support services in the culinary field and provide for payment. (Ordinance; amend Contract No. 37580).
The City of Portland ordains:
SECTION 1. The Council finds that:
1. The goal of Agreement No. 37580 with Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare is to increase Portland residents with incomes of 50% or lower by providing training, placement, and support services in the culinary field.
2. Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare has a need to develop a formal curriculum for their program, and has applied to the Bureau of Housing and Community Development for $79,173 for additional services.
3. The City wishes to increase the budget of Agreement No. 37580 with Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare to support their effort to develop a budget for the training program.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:
a. The BHCD Director and the Auditor are hereby authorized to execute an amendment with the Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare in a form substantially in accordance with the agreement attached as Exhibit A (attached to original ordinance only).
b. The Mayor and City Auditor are hereby authorized to draw and deliver warrants chargeable to the BHCD General fund program budget when demand is presented and approved by proper authority.
Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because delay in funding would interrupt Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare's ability to provide additional services; therefore, this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by Council.
