ORDINANCE No. 181491
Authorize a contract with Berger/Abam Engineers, Inc. for engineering services for the predesign and design of the Umatilla Pump Station Upgrade Project No. 8589 (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. The Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) has need of a consulting engineering firm to perform professional engineering services for the predesign and design of the upgrade for the Umatilla Pump Station, Project No. 8589.
2. The consultant selection has been conducted in accordance with Chapter 5.68 of the Code of the City of Portland. The consultant selection committee recommends that Berger/Abam be retained to perform the required professional engineering services.
3. The established cost is $109,935. Funds are available in the Sewer System Operating Fund, FY 2007-08 Budget, Bureau of Environmental Services, Center Code 145-22-110, Project Number 8589, Account No. 521000.
NOW, THEREFORE, the council directs:
a. The Commissioner of Public Utilities and Auditor are authorized to execute a contract with Berger/Abam for the purpose described in Section 1, in the amount of $109,935.
b. The Mayor and Auditor are hereby authorized to draw and deliver warrants chargeable to the Sewer System Operating Fund Budget when demand is presented and approved by the proper authority.
