ORDINANCE No. 181464

Authorize an Intergovernmental Agreement with Multnomah County for the joint purchase of Aerial Photography Consortium products (Ordinance)

The City of Portland ordains:

Section 1. The Council finds:

1.  Multnomah County and the City of Portland are both members of the Aerial Photography Consortium.

2.  The Aerial Photography Consortium was formed in 2000 by 26 Portland-area public agencies. Every year the consortium purchases very accurate aerial photographs of the entire region and other aerial photographs of interest to some or all of its members. By pooling resources and interests the members obtain products they would not be able to afford on their own.

3.  Periodically it is beneficial to both Multnomah Count and the City of Portland to join together and obtain aerial photography through the consortium that is not of interest to other consortium members.

4.  This agreement sets the ground rules and procedures for obtaining aerial photographs through the consortium when it is beneficial to both Multnomah County and the City of Portland. .

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:

a.  The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an IGA in a form substantially in accordance with the agreement attached as Exhibit A.
