ORDINANCE No. 180735
Authorize a contract and provide for payment for the construction of the Burlingame Sanitary Trunk Sewer Pipe Protection Project No. 8252 (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. A 36-inch public sanitary sewer servicing a 1700-acre basin resides is in close proximately to, and parallel, with Stephens Creek. The creek has exposed the sewer in many locations.
2. This Project will cover the exposed portions of sewer and provide future protection against erosion at those locations.
3. The Bureau of Environmental Services requires the furnishing of materials and labor for this Project
4. Funds are available in the Sewer System Operating Fund, FY 2006-07 Budget, Bureau of Environmental Services, Center Code [145-22-110], Project Number 8252, and Account No. 567000. The Confidence in Cost Estimate is Optimal.
NOW, THEREFORE, the council directs:
a. The Commissioner of Public Utilities and Auditor are authorized to execute a contract with the lowest responsible bidder for the purpose described in Section 1.
b. The Mayor and Auditor are hereby authorized to draw and deliver warrants chargeable to the Sewer System Operating Fund Budget when demand is presented and approved by the proper authority.
