RESOLUTION No. 36411
Create stakeholder committees and working groups to assist City Bureaus (Resolution)
WHEREAS, City bureaus value participation from community groups, businesses and other associations and form stakeholder committees and working groups; and
WHEREAS, Bureau stakeholder committees and working groups facilitate dialogue about current and future city administrative policy; and
WHEREAS, City Council has not officially created all the stakeholder committees and working groups that assist the bureaus; and
WHEREAS, City Council passed Ordinance No. 179843 on December 21, 2005 which establishes the City's Lobbying Entity Regulation program; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 179843 exempts from the definition of lobbying any time spent participating in a board, committee, working group, or commission created by the City Council through approval of ordinance or resolution; and
WHEREAS, City Council creation of bureau stakeholder committees and working groups will provide increased awareness of bureau activities for all Council members; and
WHEREAS, On May 10, 2006, Council passed resolution 36409 which officially ratified or created bureau stakeholder committees and working groups; and
WHEREAS, Since May 10, 2006, more stakeholder committees and working groups have been identified to be created and the Portland Parks Foundation was listed in Resolution 36409 in error.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council officially ratifies and creates the following bureau stakeholder committees and working groups:
• The AIDS Housing Advisory Committee
• Bureau of Housing and Community Development Outreach & Engagement Workgroup
• Coordinating Committee to End Homelessness (CCEH) Steering Committee
• McKinney Evaluation Committee
• Economic Opportunity Initiative Contractors workgroup
• Citizens Commission on Homelessness
• Bureau of Housing and Community Development Funders Advisory Committee
• Portland Parks Board
• Police African-American Community Advisory Council
• Police Arab Muslim Police Advisory Council
• Police Asian Law Enforcement Advisory Council
• Police Bureau Budget Advisory Committee
• Police Crisis Intervention Team Advisory Committee
• Police Chief's Forum
• Police Developmental Disability Advisory Committee
• Police Latino Advisory Council
• Police Precinct Advisory Councils/Public Safety Action Committees
• Police Sexual Minorities Roundtable
• Police Performance Review Board
• Portland Police Data Systems user group
BE IT FURTHUR RESOLVED that the Portland Parks Foundation shall be removed from list of committees in resolution 36409.
