1) Jeff Furnish, retired Actuary, most recently with Aon

Mr. Furnish is an actuary and an attorney. He retired from AON as Vice-president and Senior Consulting Actuary. He has experience in a full range of employee benefit consulting services, and is a prize-winning author on the subject of forecasting pension plans in an inflationary environment. He is past president of the National Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
2) Judy Clark, president of HR Answers

Ms. Clark is the President of HR Answers, and employee benefits business. Ms. Clark has more than 30 years experience in Human resources, 20 as a consultant. She has worked extensively on disability and retirement plans. Ms. Clark was also formerly a volunteer firefighter in West Linn.
3) Tom Whelan, citizen member of FPD&R Board of Trustees
Mr. Whelan is currently serving his second term as a citizen representative to the Portland Fire/Police Disability and Retirement Board. He retired as a Captain from the Salem Fire Department in 2000. He has also served on the Public Employees Retirement Board, the City of Portland’s Fire Bureau Budget Committee, and as a State Representative, fulfilling one term in the Oregon House prior to his 1997 move to Portland. In the 1970s, he worked for the Oregon Department of Commerce’s Real Estate Division.
4) Mariann Hyland, Equal Opportunity Compliance Officer at OHSU
Ms. Hyland is Equal Opportunity Compliance Officer for OHSU. Previously, she was Director of Public Safety and Risk Management at Chemeketa Community College in Salem and a labor and employment attorney at Stoel, Rives et. al. in Portland. She also previously served as a rater for the Portland Police Bureau’s employee assessment center and an examiner for the Salem Police Department’s promotional exam.
5) Mike Greenfield, retired, former senior Public Administrator
Mr. Greenfield is retired, and previously served as Director of the Department of Administrative Services, Deputy Secretary of State, Director of Consumer and Business Services, Deputy Superintendent of Public Education, and Administrator of the Legislative Assembly – all for the State of Oregon.
6) Judy Rice, retired Director of HR for US Bank
Ms. Rice was formerly the Director of Human Resources for US Bank. In that capacity she was involved in the development and oversight of the bank’s benefit plans, including retirement and disability. Ms. Rice also served on the 2000 FPD&R Charter Review Committee.
7) Michael Smith , VP Fullerton Co.
Mr. Smith is a principal and Vice-President at Fullerton and Co., specializing in employee benefits. Mr. Smith has series 7,6 and 63 licenses. He has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of employee benefit programs, including disability and retirement plans.
