ORDINANCE NO. 179040
*Authorize an Intergovernmental Agreement with Multnomah County to provide equipment for use by the Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. Multnomah County (County) received funding from a United Way Focus Funding Grant.
2. The City and County jointly operate the Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team.
3. The County agrees to reimburse the City up to $8,473.34 from the United Way funds for a one year lease of an auto and the purchase of a computer and Microsoft Office Pro for use by DVERT.
4. The term of this agreement is from October 4, 2004 to June 30, 2005.
NOW, therefore, the Council directs:
a. The Mayor and City Auditor are hereby authorized to enter into and sign the agreement attached as Multnomah County Contract #4600005152.
Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because delay in proceeding with this agreement will unnecessarily deprive the City of Portland and Multnomah County of the mutual benefits of this agreement; therefore this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
