ORDINANCE NO. 179017
*Authorize an Intergovernmental Agreement between King City Oregon and the Police Bureau to provide access to the Portland Police Data System (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. The City has the capability to provide access to the Portland Police Data System (PPDS) and associated services to law enforcement agencies.
2. The King City Police desire to enter into an agreement with the City to gain access to PPDS.
3. King City will reimburse the City $1,500 in one time costs to connect their network to PPDS and $3,600 in on going costs in the first year.
4. The effective dates of this contract are January 1, 2005 until terminated in writing by either party.
NOW, therefore, the Council directs:
a. The Mayor and the City Auditor are hereby authorized to execute an agreement between the City of King City and the City of Portland, as detailed in the attached Intergovernmental Agreement.
Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because delay in proceeding with this agreement will unnecessarily deprive the City of King City and the City of Portland of the mutual benefits of this agreement; therefore this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
