Subject:  Authorize contracts for remodel of Fire Stations 6, 17, and 27.

The attached ordinance authorizes contracts with the lowest, responsive and responsible bidders, and provides for payment for the remodel of Fire Station 6 located at 3660 NW Front Avenue; Fire Station 17 located at 848 N. Tomahawk Island Drive; and Fire Station 27 located at 3130 NW Skyline Blvd., in accordance with the plans and specifications to be filed with the Purchasing Agent.

The construction documents for Fire Stations 6 and 17 have been prepared and are out to bid. The construction documents for Fire Station 27 are being prepared to go out to bid. The remodel of Fire Stations 6 and 17 is estimated to be $810,349. The remodel of Fire Station 27 is estimated to be $1,600,000. The estimates are within the Fire GO Bond program budget.
