RESOLUTION No. 36136

Approve appointment of Dr. David Willis to the Allocation Committee for the Children’s Investment Fund for a term to expire May 1, 2005. (Resolution)

WHEREAS, in November of 2002 the voters in the City of Portland approved the Portland Children’s

Initiative, which created an Allocation Committee to guide the investments for the Children’s

Investment Fund; and

WHEREAS, on February 6, 2003 the City of Portland and Multnomah County entered into an

Intergovernmental Agreement which established that Portland City Council would appoint one

citizen member to the Allocation Committee; and

WHEREAS, Portland Commissioner Dan Saltzman has recommended that Dr. David Willis be appointed to the Allocation Committee for the Children’s Investment Fund.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council for the City of Portland, Oregon, appoints Dr.

David Willis to the Allocation Committee for the Children’s Investment Fund for a term to expire

  May 1, 2005.
