ORDINANCE No. 178157

*  Change the title and salary range of the Nonrepresented classification of Parking Control Supervisor. (Ordinance)

The City of Portland ordains:

Section 1. The Council finds:

1.  In accordance with the policies established by the City Council and based on a classification and compensation review, the Bureau of Human Resources is changing the salary range of a nonrepresented classification effective July 1, 2002.

2.  Also in accordance with the policies established by the City Council and based on a subsequent classification and compensation review, the Bureau of Human Resources is changing the title of the classification and making an additional change to the salary range of a nonrepresented classification effective September 24, 2003.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:

a.  The following compensation rate is being changed:

 JCN  Job Class        Salary Range    Effective Date

 7574  Parking Control Supervisor    6 to 7      July 1, 2002

b.  The following title and compensation rate is being changed:

 JCN  Job Class        Salary Range    Effective Date

 7574  Parking Control Supervisor to  7 to 8      September 24, 2003

     Parking Control Manager

Section 2.  The Council declares that an emergency exists in order that these classification and compensation actions may occur without delay; therefore, this ordinance shall be in force and effect from after its passage by the Council.
