ORDINANCE No. 178151

*Amend contract with Lloyd District Transportation Management Association in the amount of $75,000 to provide a variety of transportation-related services to the Lloyd District (Ordinance; amend Contract No. 34380)

The City of Portland ordains:

Section 1. The Council finds:

1.  The City entered into Contract No. 34380 on August 12, 2002 with the Lloyd District Transportation Management Association (TMA) to provide a variety of transportation projects for the district; support of the extension of Fareless Square to the Lloyd District; and development of a Lloyd District holiday shopping shuttle.

2.  The original Contract authorized the City to pay Contractor a sum not to exceed $75,000 for accomplishment of the work.

3.  Amend original contract to authorize a not to exceed sum of $75,000 per year for two years to raise the total amount of the contract to $150,000 for the period of the contract.

NOW THEREFORE, the Council directs:

a.  The Commissioner of Public Utilities and the Auditor are hereby authorized to enter into a two-year contract with the Lloyd District TMA in an amount not to exceed $75,000 per year, in accordance with the contract attached only to the original of this document.

b.  The Mayor and the Auditor are authorized to draw and deliver warrants chargeable to the Bureau of Transportation System Management FY02-03 and FY03-04 Adopted Budgets, when demand is presented and approved by the proper authorities.

Section 2.  The Council declares that an emergency exists because delay in executing this agreement will delay the benefits of the contracted services; therefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
