ORDINANCE No. 178133
* Apply to Tri-Met for $133,310 for FY 04/05 and $134,725 for FY 05/06 in regional Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality funds to provide project management, technical and marketing expertise and services to the CarpoolMatchNW project. (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. Metro MTIP process allocates Federal Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) funds to TriMet to administer the 2040 Initiatives Grant Program.
2. The funds will support Portland Office of Transportation staff to continue marketing the CarpoolMatchNW website which has been developed by that office over the past two years.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council directs:
a. The Mayor is hereby authorized to make an application to TriMet for a grant in the amount of $133,310 (FY 04/05) and $134,725 (FY 05/06) on behalf of the Bureau of Transportation System Management.

Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because delay in executing this agreement will delay the benefits of the contracted services; therefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
