The State Board of Higher Education,
on behalf of Portland State University
This Agreement is entered between The City of Portland Office of Transportation (City) and The State of Oregon, acting by and through the State Board of Higher Education, on behalf of Portland State University (PSU), for the purpose of selling the Smart Meter Parking Card on the PSU campus
Whereas the City and PSU desire to enter into a partnership agreement to sell the Smart Meter Parking Cards to PSU faculty, staff, students, and the general public; and
Whereas the City and PSU have statutory or other authority to enter into this Agreement;
Now, therefore, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Project Description
The City’s Smart Meter Parking Card sales at PSU shall be managed on the PSU campus by PSU Transportation and Parking Services.
2. Term
The agreement shall be in effect from May 1, 2003 through June 30, 2005, and may be renewed upon mutual written consent of both parties.
3. Payment for Smart Cards
A. PSU Transportation and Parking Services shall account for all cards provided by the City, and shall keep complete records of all smart card sales.
B. PSU Transportation and Parking Services will provide a report and will account for all
revenue collected from the sale of smart cards.
4. Remuneration
PSU Transportation and Parking Services will start with a purchase of 28 smart cards (10-$10.00, 10-$20.00, 4-$30.00, and 4-$40.00) totaling $580.00 at the price of $566.00 with a marketing incentive of .50¢ per card in exchange for services rendered by PSU. More cards may be purchased as needed from the City.
5. Authority
The representatives signing on behalf of both parties certify that the party for which they sign, to bind the party to this agreement, duly authorizes them to do so.
