ORDINANCE No. 177542

*  Create a new Nonrepresented classification of Assistant to the Transportation Manager and establish a compensation rate for this classification. (Ordinance)

The City of Portland ordains:

Section 1. The Council finds:

1.  In accordance with the policies established by the City Council and based on a classification and compensation review, the Bureau of Human Resources is creating a new classification effective April 16, 2003.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:

a.  The following classification is being created:

 JCN  Job Class      Range    Effective Date

 7577  Assist. to the Transp. Dir.   9    April 16, 2003

Section 2.  The Council declares that an emergency exists in order that this classification and compensation action may occur without delay; therefore, this ordinance shall be in force and effect from after its passage by the Council.
