PORTLAND PLAN ADVISORY GROUP – FEBRUARY AND MARCH MEETINGS

 

PURPOSE

The goals of the February and March meetings of the Portland Plan Advisory Group (PPAG) are as follows:

 

▪  Share the Portland Plan tasks for the next six months

▪  Identify the PPAG’s role in the development of the Portland Plan

▪  Familiarize PPAG members with the action areas

▪  Provide the PPAG with a foundation to identify synergies and connections between and among the action areas by familiarizing the PPAG with the existing Portland Plan research

▪  Capitalize on the collective and individual expertise of PPAG members to determine where additional research and information is needed.

ACTION AREA PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION

Presentation (5 minutes)

Bureau of Planning and Sustainability staff will present overviews of each action area, a quick summary of related research, significant findings from the research and areas for additional research. Both the presenter and technical staff will be available for limited clarifying questions.

 

Discussion (10 minutes)

After each presentation, each group will discuss the information provided and answer the following questions (sample; pick two):

 

▪  What does success look like for this action area?

▪  What are the key drivers for positive change in this action area?

▪  What information do I need to have to develop additional goals for the action area?

▪  What is missing from this research?

 

A staff scribe will record the conversation. Notes will be provided to PPAG members prior to the next meeting.
