ORDINANCE No. 177151
* Authorize acquisition of vehicles for use by City bureaus. (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. The Council adopted Resolution 35960 to establish a policy for the acquisition of vehicles.
2. Resolution 35960 requires the Vehicle Services Division of the Bureau of General Services to obtain the approval of the City Council before acquiring vehicles.
3. There is an immediate need for vehicles within the the following bureaus:
Police $152, 379
Parks 19,194
Golf 2,694
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:
a. The Vehicle Services Division of the Bureau of General Services is hereby authorized to acquire vehicles in the amount of $174,267 pursuant to the details of Exhibit A.
b. Sufficient appropriation is available within the Vehicle Services Fund for these purchases.
Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists to prevent a delay in acquiring vehicles for the delivery of City Services; therefore, this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
