ORDINANCE NO. 177150

* Amend agreement with Neighborhood Pride Team for the Entrepreneurial Training and Trillium Artisan Programs by increasing total compensation to $66,000 and provide for payment. (Ordinance, amend Contract No. 34280)

The City of Portland ordains:

SECTION 1. The Council finds that:

1.  Agreement No. 34280 between the City of Portland and Neighborhood Pride Team (NPT) provides project support for the latter's Entrepreneurial Training and Trillium Artisan Programs. Reimbursement is on a performance and per unit basis. The current contract is for $60,000.

2.  The Portland Neighborhood Development Support Collaborative (PNDSC), of which the City is a member, has determined that it would like to increase the grant award to NPT by $6,000, which would mean an additional Trillium Artisan would receive PNDSC assistance.

3.  Funds are available in the approved FY 2002-2003 CDBG Program budget of the Bureau of Housing and Community Development.

4.  The City now wishes to amend Agreement No. 34280 by increasing the amount of compensation to $66,000.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:

a. The Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into an amendment with Neighborhood Pride Team to amend Agreement No. 34280 in a form substantially in accordance with the agreement attached as Exhibit A (attached to original ordinance only).

b. The Mayor and City Auditor are hereby authorized to pay for said contract from the Community Development Block Grant Fund.

Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because delay in funding would interrupt Neighborhood Pride Team's ability to provide their community economic development services; therefore, this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by Council.
