NOTICE OF PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT

Resolution No. 36104, adopted by the City Council of the City of Portland, Oregon on October 16, 2002, declared the intention of the City of Portland to form a local improvement district to assist in financing of the Portland Streetcar Phase 3 Project. The improvements to be constructed shall be in substantial conformance with the Project plans and specifications and shall include the tracks, overhead wire, station stops and other capital improvements enabling streetcar transit service from its current terminus at SW 5^th and Montgomery Aves. to SW River Parkway and Moody Ave. A copy of the plans and specifications, as well as a copy of the Resolution and a perimeter description of the proposed local improvement district, are available for public examination in the Office of the City Engineer between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday. The address is 1120 SW 5^th Ave Suite 800, Portland, OR 97204. Objections to the proposed improvements may be made in writing to the Council, must state the specific reason(s) for the objection and must be received by the City Engineer by 5:00 PM, PST, on December 2, 2002. They should be addressed to: City Engineer, City of Portland, 1120 SW 5^th Avenue, Suite 800, Portland, OR 97204.

The Council will consider any objections and other testimony regarding the proposed improvement district at a public hearing to be held in the City Council Chambers in City Hall, 1221 SW 4^th Avenue, Portland, Oregon at the regular meeting on December 11, 2002. The hearing will start no earlier than 9:30 am.
