ORDINANCE No. 177076
* Accept a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, United States Fire Administration in the amount of $15,000 for a Juvenile Firesetting Community Response Program (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. In October 2002, FEMA offered a grant to Portland Fire & Rescue for a Juvenile Firesetting Community Response Program in Portland Fire & Rescue.
2. FEMA has awarded PF&R a grant of $15,000 to establish a Juvenile Firesetting Community Response Program. It is required that the grant be encumbered by December 1, 2002, which is in Portland’s fiscal year 2002-03.
3. There is no match requirement for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:
a. The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept a $15,000 grant from FEMA on behalf of the City of Portland.
b. The FY 2002-03 budget is hereby amended as follows:
