ORDINANCE No. 177039
* Authorize agreement with Parametrix, Inc. for professional engineering services for the Montana Pump Station, Project No. 7017 (Ordinance; amend Contract No. 33569)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. The Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) has a need of consulting engineering firm to complete additional design improvements and provide services during construction for Montana Pump Station, Project 7017.
2. Parametrix, Inc. is the consulting engineering firm currently under contract for the listed project.
3. The estimated cost is $97,129. Funds are available in the Sewer System Operating Fund, FY 2002-03 Adopted Budget, Bureau of Environmental Services, Center Code 145-22-110 Project Number 7017, Account No. 521000.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:
1. The Commissioner of Public Affairs and Auditor are authorized to execute amendment to contract with Parametrix, Inc. for the purpose described in Section 1, in the amount of $97,129.
2. The Mayor and Auditor are hereby authorized to draw and deliver warrants chargeable to the Sewer System Operating Fund when demand is presented and approved by the proper authority.
Section 2: The Council declares an emergency that an emergency exists because time is of the essence to upgrade the pump station in accordance with the BES Pump Station Improvement Plan. Therefore, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
