ORDINANCE No. 177033

*  Create a new Nonrepresented classification of Water Security Specialist and establish a compensation rate for this classification. (Ordinance)

The City of Portland ordains:

Section 1. The Council finds:

1.  In accordance with the policies established by the City Council and based on a classification and compensation review, the Bureau of Human Resources is creating a new classification effective October 30, 2002.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:

a.  The following classification is created:

 JCN  Job Class      Bureau      Effective Date

 1709  Water Security Specialist  Water Bureau    October 30, 2002

b.  The following compensation rate is established:

           Entry    6 Mos    1 Yr    

 Water Security Specialist    $17.29    $17.94    $18.59

Section 2.  The Council declares that an emergency exists in order that this classification and compensation action may occur without delay; therefore, this ordinance shall be in force and effect from after its passage by the Council.
