AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
CITY/PSI AGREEMENT
This Amendment made the ____ day of __________ 2002, modifies the Agreement for Professional Services between the City of Portland (City) and Portland Streetcar, Inc. (PSI or Contractor) dated October 2, 1997, City Agreement No. 31428 (Agreement).
RECITALS
Whereas, on May 29, 2002 the City Council approved Resolution No. 36075 adopting the preliminary design, finance plan and schedule for the Streetcar Phase 3 Project and Harrison Connector and directing various actions for implementation including negotiation of a contract amendment with PSI for completion of all services required for implementation of the project; and
Whereas, on August 14, 2002 the City Council passed Ordinance No. 176834 authorizing Amendment No. 9 to the Agreement providing for PSI and its consultants to carry out final engineering and other professional services related to the extension of Streetcar improvements from SW 5th and Montgomery to SW River Parkway and Moody (Streetcar Phase 3) and to a new street from SW Harrison and Naito Parkway to SW Harbor Drive and River Parkway (Harrison Street Connector); the two projects are collectively known as Portland Streetcar RiverPlace Extension; and
Whereas, the Scope of Services under Amendment No. 9 specifically provides for the City to perform all services related to the design of traffic signals; and
Whereas, the City has requested PSI to perform, through its engineering consultant BRW, drafting services for signal design and will provide the necessary resources to fund the work.
AGREEMENT
1. Scope of Services. PSI, through its consultant BRW Inc., shall:
a. Provide traffic signal drafting services for the final traffic signal design for the Portland Streetcar RiverPlace Extension Project based on final traffic signal designs prepared by the City traffic engineers. Each traffic signal will require a minimum of one traffic signal plan and one wiring diagram. It is estimated that six (6) of the traffic signals will require a separate detection plan and that no separate traffic signal interconnect plans will be produced. Two detailed plans will also be prepared, using electronic information provided by the City, for a total of 24 contract drawings.
2. Amendments to the consultant agreements and the related detailed scope of services and compensation shall be subject to review and approval of the City Project Manager prior to PSI incurring any cost for these services.
3. Total Maximum Compensation. Total Maximum Compensation provided for in the Agreement shall be increase by the amount of $19,300.
4. ALL OTHER PROVISION OF THE AGREEMENT REMAIN UNCHANGED.
