ORDINANCE NO. 176995

*Amend contract with Anne Raccine Fishe for additional architectural services for the King Neighborhood Facility (Ordinance; Amend Contract No. 33914)

The City of Portland ordains:

Section 1.  The Council finds:

1.  On October 19, 2001, the City entered into Agreement No. 33914 with the Consultant for continuation of architectural services for the King Neighborhood Facility Remodel.

2.  The Agreement amount is $19,785.00. The original expiration date was August 27, 2002.

3.  On August 26, 2002, Amendment No. 1 was executed extending the contract expiration date to August 26, 2003.

4.  Changes in the staffing needs of the Office of Neighborhood Involvement have required that the architect perform redesign services in order to adjust the space to meet those needs. This additional work is described in Amendment No. 2, attached hereto as Attachment No. 1. This work has been performed and the new design will accommodate revised ONI staffing.

5.  The total fee increase of $1,920.00 will amend the compensation under Agreement No. 33914 to $21,705.00.

6.  Contract Amendment No. 2 is attached, signed by the Consultant and approved as to form by the City Attorney.

7.  The Bureau of General Services recommends that Agreement No. 33914 with Anne Raccine Fishe be amended to provide additional architectural services for the King Neighborhood Facility Remodel by $1,920.00 for a total contract amount of $21,705.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:

 a.  The Mayor and Auditor are authorized to execute Amendment No. 1, attached hereto as Attachment No. 1, with Anne Raccine Fishe in the amount of $1,920.00 for a total contract amount of $21,705.00.

 b.  The Mayor and Auditor are hereby authorized to draw and deliver checks chargeable to the fiscal year 2002-03 budget of Facilities Services when demand is presented and approved by the proper authorities.

Section 2.  The Council declares that an emergency exists because a delay in proceeding with this amendment could result in additional expense to the City; therefore, this Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
