ORDINANCE NO. 176966
*Authorize an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Multnomah County Division of Budget and Service Improvement and the Police Bureau to provide access to the Portland Police Data System (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. The City has the capability to provide access to the Portland Police Data System (PPDS) and associated services to law enforcement agencies.
2. Budget desires to enter into an agreement with the City to gain access to PPDS services.
3. The effective dates of this contract are July 1, 2002, or the date all parties have signed the agreement, until termination. The PPDS service will be provided at no cost to Budget.
NOW, therefore, the Council directs:
a. The Mayor and the City Auditor are hereby authorized to execute an agreement for services between the Multnomah County Division of Budget and Service and the Police Bureau, as detailed in the Intergovernmental Agreement attached as Exhibit 1.
Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because delay in proceeding with this agreement will unnecessarily deprive the Multnomah County Division of Budget and Service and the City of Portland of the mutual benefits of this agreement; therefore this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
