ORDINANCE No. 176881

*Authorize an increase in the petty cash funds of Pittock Mansion to $600.

(Ordinance: Amend Ordinance No.160350)

The City of Portland ordains:

1.  Ordinance No.160350 passed by Council on December 23,1987, established a petty cash and change cash account for the Pittock Mansion in the amount of $200.00

2.  For the last two years, the Pittock Mansion has used a cash advance of $300.00 to bring the petty cash and change cash account to $500.00

3.  An increase in admission fees on July 2002, has resulted in a need for a larger change cash account to meet customer needs, particularly over the weekends when going to the bank is not possible.

4.  To eliminate the need to carry a $300.00 cash advance and to meet increased customer needs, an increase of $400.00 in the petty cash and change cash account is required.

NOW THEREFORE, The Council directs:

a.  Ordinance No. 160350 is hereby amended to increase the petty cash and cash change account for Pittock Mansion to $600.00.

b.  The Mayor and Auditor are hereby authorized to draw and deliver a warrant in the amount of $400.00 payable to Mary C. Weber, chargeable to the Pittock Mansion, Center Code 13042392.

Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists due to the increased customer needs and the upcoming busy season at Pittock Mansion; therefore, this Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by council.
