ORDINANCE No. 176860
* Amend an Interagency Agreement between Portland Parks and Recreation and Portland Development Commission for professional and technical services for park improvements for FY 2002 – 2003 (Ordinance; amend Contract No. #51843)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. The Council approved Ordinance #176759 authorizing an Intergovernmental Agreement #51843 with PDC on July 31, 2002.
2. PDC desires to use the professional and technical services of Portland Parks and Recreation for riverbank restoration for the Riverplace development, which requires a new scope of work and an amendment to the IGA.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:
a. The Director of Parks and Recreation is authorized to enter into an Interagency Agreement, similar in form to the agreement attached to the original of this Ordinance, and by this reference made a part hereof.
b. The City project managers are authorized to agree to and execute on behalf of the City, any amendment of work scopes, which does not increase the total compensation under this agreement or change the length of the contract period with the mutual consent of the PDC project manager.
Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because a delay in executing this Intergovernmental Agreement will adversely impact the City’s ability to meet the design and construction schedule for the included projects; therefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
