ORDINANCE No. 176842
* Create three Nonrepresented classifications as follow up to the implementation of the reformed Nonrepresented employees classification and compensation structure and establish compensation rates for the classes; and change the compensation rates for four Nonrepresented classifications. (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. In accordance with the policies established by the City Council and based on a classification and compensation review, the Bureau of Human Resources is creating five Nonrepresented classification and changing the compensation rate of four Nonrepresented classifications effective 7/1/02.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:
a. The following classifications are created:
JCN Job Class Pay Grade Effective Date
7640 Portland Harbor Superfund Mgr. 11 7/1/02
7600 Water Resources Program Mgr. 9 7/1/02
7713 Facilities Mtce and Access Control Spec 3 7/1/02
b. The following compensation rates are being changed:
JCN Job Class Pay Range Effective Date 0015 Commissioners' Admin Support Spec $14.40 - $22.17 7/1/02
0022 Commissioners' Chief of Staff $31.05 - $36.73 7/1/02
0900 Staff Assistant (seasonal classification) $13.48 - $19.29 7/1/02
JCN Job Class Pay Grade Effective Date
7502 CAD Software Engineer 11 7/1/02
Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists in order that this classification and compensation action may occur without delay; therefore, this ordinance shall be in force and effect from after its passage by the Council.
