ORDINANCE NO. 176772
* Donate a 1976 Seagraves Model PB-2406 Diesel Fire Engine to Oregon Fire Service Museum, Memorial & Learning Center in Salem, Oregon. (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. Oregon Fire Service Museum, Memorial & Learning Center (Museum), has need of a fire truck.
2. The Portland Bureau of Fire, Rescue & Emergency Services (PF&R) has a spare 1976 Seagraves Model PB-2406 Diesel Fire Engine, with an estimated value of $3,000.
3. PF&R would like to donate this engine to OFS Museum, and the President of the Museum has approved this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:
a. The City of Portland Bureau of Fire, Rescue & Emergency Services is authorized to donate a 1976 Seagraves Model PB-2406 Diesel Fire Engine to Oregon Fire Service Museum, Memorial & Learning Center.
Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because it is important that the apparatus reach the Museum in a timely manner; therefore, this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
