ORDINANCE No. 176762

*Designate and assign City-owned land development control strips as public street areas. (Ordinance)

The City of Portland ordains:

Section 1. The Council finds:

1.  The City accepted land development control strips from various property owners in connection with land development projects.

2.  Due to the development of adjacent lands and the extension of dedicated streets, it is appropriate for the City to designate and assign the development control strips as public street areas.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs:

a.  That the following described City-owned properties are hereby designated and assigned as public street areas:

R/W #5917

Tract B, Quail Meadows

Tract A, Shadow Park

Tracts A & B, Mollie Downs

Tract A, Bauman’s Wood

Tracts A, B & C, Firlea

That certain tract of land described in Book 609, Page 257, Dated March 15, 1968, Multnomah County Deed Records.

b.  That the Auditor shall return a certified copy of this Ordinance to the Right-of-Way Acquisition Section, Transportation Engineering and Development, for recording in the Multnomah County Deed Records; Right-of-Way Acquisition shall return the recorded Ordinance to the Auditor.

c.  That the Right-of-Way Acquisition, Transportation Engineering and Development shall forward a copy of the recorded Ordinance to the Multnomah County Assessor.

Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because a delay in assigning and designating the properties might cause confusion in the public records; therefore, this Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
