ORDINANCE NO. 176671
* Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement with Multnomah County District Attorney Office for the Police Bureau to provide supervisory services of the joint Family Services Division Lieutenant (Ordinance)
The City of Portland ordains:
Section 1. The Council finds:
1. The CAMI Grant provides funding from the Child Abuse Multi-disciplinary Intervention Account to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office in accordance with the grant application and awards.
2. The Police Bureau provides a Lieutenant to supervise the Family Services Division. The Family Services Division Child Abuse Team investigates cases of child abuse.
3. The MCDA agrees to reimburse, from the CAMI Grant, the Police for the cost of the Lieutenant in the Family Services Division including salary, benefits, computer equipment and vehicle, for the month of June 2002.
4. The total reimbursement to the Police Bureau under this agreement is $14,836.
NOW, therefore, the Council directs:
a. The Mayor and City Auditor are hereby authorized to enter into the agreement between the City of Portland and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office as detailed in the attached Exhibit A.
Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists because delay in proceeding with this agreement will unnecessarily deprive the City of Portland and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office of the mutual benefits of this agreement; therefore this ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
