Importance: Normal
I think the developers should reverse the design and put the taller buildings on the west side of the development, away from the Greenway and River. Occupants in the shorter buildings will then have views, and the all but the lowest floors of the towers will still have spectacular views to the east. This will also give Greenway path users much more sky to enjoy without harming the development one bit.
I am also concerned about parking. I have lived in the South Waterfront for 11 years, and each time a new residential development comes on line, street parking worsens. It is difficult for our guests to park now. It will be impossible with 1200 new units and 985 parking spaces. While we’d all like to think there will be less than one vehicle per rental unit, the reality is that most units will have two vehicles. 2000+ vehicles and 985 parking places will be the death knell to restaurants and retail possibilities down here, not to mention my visitors!
