Attention Staci Monroe:

Two and one half years ago we purchased our home in the Meriwether, at 3570 SW River Pkwy #1101, Portland OR 97239, because of its beautiful views of the Willamette River. We were told that perhaps some seven story structures would be built in the future, but that the CITY DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS were for taller buildings to be in the west blocks.

However, Alamo’s building plans appear to be positioned close to the river, sacrificing the views of many established home owners. TALL BUILDINGS TO THE WEST, WITH SHORTER BUILDINGS TOWARD THE RIVER WOULD DO MUCH TO PRESERVE MANY ESTABLISHED VIEWS WHILE CREATING RIVER VIEWS TO THE EAST FOR THE NEW PROPOSED BUILDINGS. Many design modifications have been requested by Alamo. Please consider what the modification would do to the quality of life and the home values for existing home owners. IT WOULD SEEM SOME SORT OF A COMPROMISE IS CALLED FOR.

Please further consider how proposed PARKING PLANS might limit on-street parking needed by current and future businesses in this area. And take into account added TRAFFIC CONGESTION and ACCESS FLOW to Macadam during rush hours.

Thank you, Renee Hohimer
