LU 19-102941 DZ – Ross Island Bridge Conduit

 

 

Dear Commissioners:

 

Please find the attached drawing package and staff report recommending approval for the proposal located on the Ross Island Bridge. This is the first Land Use hearing.

 

The proposal is for new 8” “Bullet Resistant” fiberglass conduit along the southern portion of the Ross Island Bridge for the purposes of accommodating fiber optic cable for internet and communication services. The conduit is to be attached underneath the bridge with galvanized clamps and anchors. 8” fiberglass “expansion joints” (sleeves) will be applied where sections of conduit butt together. There are no Modifications or Adjustments.

 

Materials: The proposal includes essentially three features/materials:

1.  8” “Bullet Resistant” fiberglass conduit;

2.  8” fiberglass expansion joint sleeves; and

3.  Galvanized clamps/anchors
